Do people these days only use runway shows as inspiration to by cheap replica’s at large commercial retail chains?

This question inspired Anneloes to create a miniature runway show in a diorama with a stop-motion video. If people prefer to buy cheap knock-offs, why bother making real-size clothes? Why not create just the miniatures to inspire people?

To create this work Anneloes was granted funding by both Stichting Niemijer Fonds and Fonds BKVB in summer 2011.
